Shire Fans get warning about their behaviour
East Stirling have reminded Fans about their behaviour after some minor incidents so far this Season. The Club issued the following Statement: Following on from some minor incidents involving individual supporters in recent games the Club wish to re-iterate it's stance on supporter behaviour. The Club are aware that these incidents are few and far between, however we are a Club who wish to welcome supporters of all ages and encourage a family friendly atmosphere at our games. The reputation and impeccable behaviour of The Shire fans is respected throughout Scotland and as a club we are eternally grateful for your support as well as recognising that 99.9% of the time our fans behaviour is exemplary. However, East Stirlingshire Football Club wish to remind all spectators that inappropriate behaviour by home or visiting supporters will not be tolerated. Inappropriate behaviour may result in ejection from the ground with the possibility of further banning actions being taken. Spectators are reminded that under the Criminal Law (Consolidation Scotland) Act 1995 that it is an offence, punishable by law, for any person to enter or attempt to enter the ground: * Whilst in possession of a controlled container which is or was capable of holding liquid and which if thrown would be capable of causing injury to another person * Whilst in possession of alcohol. * Whilst drunk. The Club also wish to remind all spectators that abuse, verbal or physical of ground staff or stewards may also result in ejection from the ground. Should any spectator have a grievance with the actions of the club stewards or staff then they are asked to please take it up with the Chief Executive Officer of East Stirlingshire Football Club, Mr Les Thomson.
